Ghana Brass ornaments

These are hand made by Fair Trade producers in Kumasi, Ghana. They use recycled brass from car parts and plumbing.

individually fashioned in wax, coated in charcoal, surronded with clay and palm fibre, and then filled with molten brass, in the village of Krofrom in Ashanti region.

   

Frog, crocodile, armadillo (3 to 4 cm long, 7.5 g weight).

   

Mask, mudfish, adowa antelope (3 to 4 cm long, 7.5 g weight).

   

Tilapia, turtle, lizard (3 to 4 cm long, 7.5 g weight).
