Had a great January tour with five guests. Visited a couple of remote villages in the Eastern Region, one 45 minutes walk by footpath to a hilltop - they welcomed us with drumming and dancing, and of course everybody brought their beads out to show us.

Bead Tours 2008
Come and see the amazing Dipo ceremony in April - young girls parade in all their heirloom beads after a day of rituals. It would be great to do it this year, but you will have to be quick. Plan now for 2009. See above for details.
Take a look at a video of Koforidua bead market below.

August tour 2008
128th July to 6th August I will lead a craft tour taking a particularly close look at the lost wax brass casting, but of course visiting the Kente weavers, beadmakers, carvers and more.
There are only a few places left so let me know if you want to join!

African Nations Cup
We watched January's lively opening match in the airport, where Ghana scored the winner in the last minute. Great atmosphere!
Charity Cycle across lake Volta
Raise money for a good cause, get fit, and have the holiday of a lifetime in December 2008 - January 2009!
I trialled this route in August 2007 and it was fantastic - remote, great scenery, very varied cycling with no cars. Your chance to cycle across the world's biggest manmade lake! Ok, we take a couple of ferries to help.
I'll put up more details soon, but let me know if you are interested so I can manage the numbers.
