Visited a couple of remote villages in the Eastern Region, one 45 minutes walk by footpath to a hilltop - they welcomed us with drumming and dancing, and of course everybody brought their beads out to show us.</div> <bR> <div> Also had the first bead-making workshop in Abompe, chipping, drilling and shaping beads out of bauxite. Everybody made a bracelet to take away, with a little help from the professionals!</div> <bR> <div> The Dabaa beadmakers have a lot of new styles and colours, and </div> <bR> <div> <B>Bead Tours 2008</B></div> <bR> <div> Come and see the amazing Dipo ceremony in April - young girls parade in all their heirloom beads after a day of rituals. It would be great to do it this year, but you will have to be quick. Plan now for 2009. Your chance to cycle across the world's biggest manmade lake!
